
Meet project founder Dr Sharyn Volk, a passionate advocate for disadvantaged students in rural and regional areas in Australia. Sharyn is an object-inspired learning specialist and has extensive experience at both secondary and tertiary levels. She believes in the power of objects and story-telling as pathways to mitigating educational inequality.

Meet project Collaborator Dr Heba Abd El Gawad who works tirelessly to make Egyptian heritage accessible to all Egyptians. Heba is a people-centred museum and heritage specialist with extensive experience in exhibition curation in Egypt and the UK. She believes in using museum collections and archives to contribute positively to the lives of her communities focusing on achieving outcomes of social justice and inclusion.

Meet project education specialist Dr Annelies Van de Ven who works as a researcher at UCLouvain. In following the lives of archaeological objects from excavation to display, Annelies has learned to appreciate the stories that objects can tell. Her experiences in education range from teaching Latin in primary schools, to running archaeological programs at university.
